Lynda Kerr stole a Gateway 2000 computer. A few months later she sold it to (unbeknownst to her) an off-duty Pennsylvania State Trooper who purchased it for his mother for $850.00. He later learned the computer was reported stolen! He was mad and saw to it that Ms. Kerr was arrested and charged. The computer was returned to its rightful owner and Ms. Kerr was convicted and had to serve two years of probation for the theft.
