Ms. Kerr was given the opportunity to avoid actual prison time by being sentenced to probation. All she had to do was follow the rules. Unfortunately, rule following is not one of Ms. Kerr’s strong points. While on probation in Somerset County she and her chauffeur Nick, drove to a hospital emergency room in State College, PA, in Centre County. She proceeded to commit similar crimes involving Demerol, fraud and forgery. Sharp ER doctors figured her out and she was arrested and charged with a few more felonies in Centre County. These new crimes constituted a VOP, Violation of Probation in Somerset County and she was hauled back to court deal with the consequences of her actions. The judge deemed it appropriate to place Ms. Kerr securely behind bars, for not more than six months, and not more than 23 months. When the hearing ended an officer cuffed and shackled Ms. Kerr and led her out of the courtroom and returned her to the Somerset County Jail. Again.
